Globe reported that it installed 91 tower company (towerco) sites to its network since the beginning of the year in order to expand coverage and improve services.
By end-March, 91 towerco sites had begun delivering Globe traffic, about 57% higher than the 58 locations finished in the same period in 2021.
These new Globe towers are powering 16 provinces across the country, including:

- Cavite
- Laguna
- Batangas
- Rizal

Globe has been rapidly growing its network through partnerships with multiple tower firms, according to the company.
Joel Agustin, Globe SVP Head of Network Planning and Engineering, Network Technical Group, said their "infrastructure partnerships are invaluable" in their efforts to expand their reach and further boost their service for the benefit of their customers.
Globe allocated PHP 89 billion in CAPEX this year for network development, which includes new cell site construction, upgrading to 4G/LTE, acceleration of the 5G launch, and hastened fiberization of houses across the country.
Last year, the telco added 1,407 new cell sites, including 4G/LTE and 5G. Meanwhile, over 22,300 mobile sites have been upgraded, and over 2,000 5G outdoor and in-building solutions have been deployed.
